So I kicked off the already much anticipated month of Oktober with a fun weekend. At our local movie theater they decided to reshow Shaun of the Dead (Love*) along with the new zombie movie, zombieland. And there was a costume contest, supposedly. So, I went as "Zombie Master Chief" with my two friends, to kick off my improved halo suit. I even made little flood infection forms and attached them, and acted..well, like a zombie. And to clarify things, I put a sign on my back, "Flood(crossed-out and a large ZOMBIE with blood dripping written underneath)-infected Master Chief. And a red zombie hand. The flood infection forms were..very ghetto-cosplay, but epic. I took burlap and sewed them into the weird root vegetable looking flood and made tendrils, gave them googly eyes, and voila!! Cheap and easy flood. And surprisingly cute..We won some free stuff, posters, movie passes, etc. I was very happy.

So until I get money and electronic supplies to put in my LEDs, speakers, music, and fans, I am working on trees for a wedding!! The trunks are basically done, just have to add 4 extra roots to the groom's tree for a special surprise, then I am going to build up the tops. Should be fun, and I should be done by their wedding this halloween, as well as done with my halo armour. The weekend showed me where some weak points are as well as mobility problems, so time to fix it. A kickass start to a kickass month.

Sadly, I can't go to a convention I had planned for next weekend, since a bigger con opportunity came up. I get to meet one of my fav actors, and it's his first convention, whereas I could meet the master chief at any con, it seems. This actor is coming all the way from Denmark, he was in True Blood, and he's my age. Oh yeah. You go ahead and think those thoughts.
